I love travel as much as the next person but put an empty bag in front of me and I will put off packing as long as I possibly can. But once I start, I can zip up a fully packed bag in 10? 15? minutes tops. You call it laziness, I call it efficiency because over the years, I have curated the perfect list of travel essentials (for me at least!). If I only packed these products and forgot everything else, asides from clothes and shampoo of course, I would be more than okay. So let’s get into it!
Ah skin care – my biggest love/hate relationship. I can spend hours upon hours researching the science behind ingredients and what the best products on the market are. Out of everyone I know, I am easily the most informed in dermatology, yet I have the worst skin (??!) – very oily, acneic skin with large pores and scarring. With that said, after a long and tumultuous journey with my skin, here are a few products that have helped to tame the beast and maybe one of these might help you too!
As much as I love trying new hair and beauty products out, when it comes down to it, I will always use the same collection of products that I know will not fail me. Okay, let’s get on with my current favourites!
When it comes to things that matter (eg. friendships, relationships etc.), I find it very difficult to apologise, yet bad skin/hair days consist of me apologising to people left, right and centre for my appearance. But why is that? Have I been conditioned to think that what I look like naturally is something to be ashamed of?
After a very dull semester, a trip was definitely needed for the sake of my sanity. This time, it was agreed that the family holiday should be in a totally new country and we eventually decided on the wonderful island of Sri Lanka!

Let’s just address the elephant in the room before I begin. Yes. That is in fact the best pun you’ve ever come across. Thank you and you’re welcome!
Anyhoo, let’s get to the real reason why we’re all here…
There is nothing in the world that makes me happier than travelling ESPECIALLY when I get to explore new places. Having a family based in SE Asia has provided us with the opportunity to visit surrounding countries such as Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia etc. Yet for whatever reason, we never really thought of going to Laos. But boy am I glad we did.
